This year I was delighted to attend my first trade show. It was both exhilarating and nerve wrecking so I thought I should share the experience with you. Showcase is an international trade show at the RDS Dublin where creative businesses throughout Ireland come to showcase their products looking for retailers both within Ireland and overseas. I was lucky to be part of the Local Enterprise Area which is located on the balcony thanks to the Local Enterprise Office in Sligo. I had a 2m x 2m white section where I had to display my product. It sounds a lot easier than it actually was but it was all manageable. I had the help of a few incredible friends and my both my parents helped with some of the pre-show prep.
Here are a few snaps of the set up, the day before the show starts.
Here is the final display of my stand for the show. Pretty chuffed with it. One of my favourite pieces on the stand was my Grandmothers old sewing machine, it was the first sewing machine I ever used. I remember making my first dress when I was about 11. It still works to this day but I have upgraded to an industrial sewing machine.
